Growing up in the South Bay, Jason played competitive club soccer and tennis until tearing his meniscus in 8th grade. Always most passionate about basketball, he turned the page post-knee recovery and focused primarily on hoops entering high school and on. He went on to coach boys hoops at Chadwick School right after graduating from 2014-2022, where he also coached Strength and Conditioning with fellow BPLA OG Mike Farzley.
Jason’s life was dominated by back injuries and it wasn’t until later in life that he discovered a rare spinal deformity that was the root cause of numerous herniated discs, fractured vertebrae, and a host of neurological and musculoskeletal inhibitions. He dove deep into his own training and self-studied NeuroKinetic therapy, spinal decompression, myofascial release, breathwork, craniosacral therapy, CFR (cranial facial release) and more to conquer his deformity and live pain-free.
Jason is on a path to merge his passion in basketball with his own experience with spinal issues and chronic pain to train any and all people—whether they’re disadvantaged in health looking for unique recovery when all else has failed, athletes looking to take their game to the college or pro levels (has worked and trained with clients at BDA Sports since 2021) via functional movement, or those just looking to regain health, lose weight, and gain strength to live and feel their absolute best.
Jason is a CPT through ISSA and earned his ISSA Elite Trainer status as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Specialist in Strength and Conditioning.
