Personal Trainer/Coach
Sofia Aceves

At I young age I discovered a very unhealthy relationship with my body, food, and life overall. I was lucky enough to have a personal trainer that transformed my life and allowed to find love and confidence in myself through fitness. My life goal became to be that person for others. I train because I want people to know that confidence is something they can and will feel, happiness in themselves is something that is possible, and food is the best fuel for you.

Fitness is not just about the physical changes but the emotional and mental changes that come along with it. Fitness is something truly amazing, and I want to guide my community towards the pathway of confidence and strength.

Yoga Instructor
Jay Cruz

Growing up in New York City and spending much of his youth at the park, Jay has always had a love for movement. After playing Basketball and Baseball throughout high school, Jay suffered a knee injury and had to get surgery to repair his ACL. A blessing in disguise, Jay's extensive rehabilitation process showed him how resilient and capable the human body is and his quick recovery sparked an interest in different modalities of exercise and their relationship with sports performance. After getting certified as a personal trainer through ACSM Jay spent the first four years of his career working in corporate gyms, residential facilities and the New York City public school system.

In 2016 Jay's passion for health and wellness brought him to Los Angeles. Always eager to expand his offering, Jay decided to do a 200 hour yoga teacher training as he thought he could learn great ways to help his clients improve their flexibility and mobility. After his first week in teacher training with the amazing Clio Manulian he quickly realized he was about to learn a lot more than stretching and his journey inward began.

So moved by his teacher training experience, Jay began adding pranayama and "mini flows" into his clients training sessions and soon after began teaching Yoga all over the South Bay. Jay's classes have a heavy emphasis on alignment, breathwork and body awareness, taking the time to mindfully set up each posture before incorporating them into more dynamic flows.
