BPLA Athletics is designed to educate all student athletes on training fundamentals while providing a safe space for athletes to challenge themselves, set big goals, and exceed expectations. Our program pairs intention with skillful execution.

BPLA Athletics prioritizes educating our student athletes on training fundamentals. We give athletes a safe space to learn about what we are doing when we train, why we are doing it, and how it translates to their overall success.


We create a space where athletes can be themselves without the fear of failure. The program provides a community that helps motivate one another and provide healthy competition to reach new capabilities.


From the warm up to the main lift, each component of the program is designed to increase skillful execution of each movement. We provide student athletes with all the mental and physical tools needed to increase performance and drive success.

coach charlie

Graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Wellness, Charlie motivates a healthy lifestyle to everyone who walks through the doors of BPLA. Charlie gets his athletic experience from years of playing baseball, competitive swimming, as well as ocean racing. He is also a Los Angeles County Ocean Lifeguard and a certified EMT. Charlie has 5 years of experience in youth training and personal training for adults. He emphasizes functional training and will be there with you every step of the way!

coach einar

Einar was born and raised in San Pedro, CA and played football at the NCAA level with the University of La Verne. After an injury halted his football career, Einar became an assistant strength coach for the university. Mentored by one of the best strength coaches Matt Durant, Einar developed a passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals as well as injury prevention through proper technique, strength, and conditioning. Einar graduated with a Bachelors in kinesiology with an emphasis in health and human performance, and is currently working toward his Doctorates in Chiropractics.
